WEBSTER, Mass. – Thomas J. Bruton, 53, of 9 Westwood Road, Webster, Mass, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at UMASS Memorial Health Care-University Campus, Worcester, Mass. 

He leaves his wife of 25 years, Julia M. (Hibbert) Bruton of Webster, Mass.; two sons, Thomas J. Bruton and Leo W. Bruton, both of Webster; his mother, Caroline (Hogan) Bruton of Wallingford; a brother, Daniel Bruton of Wallingford; two sisters, Lynn Page and Janet Valentin, both of Meriden. He was predeceased by a brother, Leo Bruton of Wallingford. 

He was born in Meriden, son of the late Leo R. Bruton and lived in Cortland, N.Y., before moving to Webster, Mass. in 1995. He earned his Associates Degree in Computer Science and was currently employed at Commerce Insurance as a computer programmer. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in the Lebanon Conflict and traveled the world extensively on aircraft carriers during his service. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. He was extremely dedicated to quality family time.
