Obituary for James (Jimmy) Francis Banaszewski
James (Jimmy) Francis Banaszewski, 60, of Covington, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, Sunday, August 26, 2018. He was born in Meriden, CT to Joseph and Regina (Wisniewski) Banaszewski.
Jimmy enjoyed working, NASCAR and gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents. Jimmy was a loving husband, step-father, and grandfather who loved his family and especially his favorite cat, Sammy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Robin Banaszewski, of Covington; step-daughter, Megan Joyner, of Conyers; step-son, Matthew Joyner, of Conyers; grandson, Atticus Joyner, of Covington; sisters, Liane Rogers of Conyers, Julie Brown of Wallingford, CT; niece, Genevieve (Ryan) Robinson of Wilton, CT; nephew, Ralph Rogers, Jr. of Wallingford, CT; great nieces, Lola Robinson, Yeardsley Robinson.
A Celebration of Life Service for Jimmy will be held at the home, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help offset medical costs. Guests may sign the online register at www.wheelerfuneralhome.com.
