Robert F. Barry Jr., age 64, of Waterbury, passed away on Sunday, March 28^th at Saint Mary’s Hospital. He was born in Meriden on November 19, 1956; a son of the late Robert and Patricia (McNulty) Barry. Robert shared a wonderful childhood on Ridgenoll Road in Wallingford with his 4 siblings. Following in his father’s footsteps, Robert was an outstanding athlete; he was a captain for both the varsity hockey team and varsity soccer team. He was voted all-state in 1975 for soccer.  

Robert’s love for sports continued throughout his lifetime; he was an avid fan of the Giants, the Yankees and the Rangers. He liked to joke around and was known for his humor; it seemed that he could make anyone laugh. He was kind, loving and supportive and truly cherished his friends and family. He was always especially thankful for the support he received from his sister, Sue throughout the years.

Robert will be forever loved and always missed by his siblings, Sean (Gladys) Barry of South Windsor, Sheila (Kevin) Bjornberg of Wallingford, James P. Barry of Wallingford and Susan E. Barry of Wallingford; his 5 nephews; his best friend, Victor; his Irish sister, Trish; as well as his beloved cats, London, Midnight and Tiger; numerous extended family members and many cherished friends.
